(1) No person shall use within the City limits any dynamic braking device on any motor vehicle, except to avoid imminent danger to persons or property.

(2) A dynamic braking device, commonly referred to as a Jake or Jacob brake, is one used primarily on trucks and buses to convert a motor from an internal combustion engine to an air compressor for the purpose of vehicle braking without the use of wheel brakes. (Ord. 176, passed 9-8-2020)
